Monthly Preschool Playtimes coming in September! Reserve your spot today!
Does your kiddo ask “why” a lot? Does he turn every toy into a building toy? Is she curious about technology? Does he love to solve puzzles? Is she fascinated with numbers? If the answer to any of these is yes, you might have a budding STEM kid! Our STEM Playtime offers curious children a chance to explore and provides parents with resources to help support their children’s natural STEM tendencies, and encourage parents to connect with other parents whose children have similar interests.
Designed just for preschoolers, our Preschool Playtime offers children time for open, STEAM based play that encourages them to explore beginning science, technology, engineering, art and math concepts through experimentation and problem solving. Our precursor to Early Engineers, Preschool Playtime is organized by educators, supported by our FIRST students, and is great fun for all!
Join us on the 3rd Saturday of each month September - April for the Playtime session time that works best for you. Choose from the 10:45-11:45 am session, or the 12:00 - 1:00 pm session when you register.
2026-2027 Meeting Dates: September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19, January 16, February 20, March 20 and April 17
Please note:An adult is required to stay with their student(s) the entire time. Coffee and light refreshments will be available for the adults. Students may choose to bring a water bottle or light snack if they need it, but no other supplies are needed.
We believe all young children can thrive in STEM, and we strongly encourage girls, students of color, students who are neuro-diverse, and students who are still learning English to join us. All are welcome!

Where do you meet?
All Clubs and Playtimes are held in the Parish Hall of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church - 1700 10th Avenue in Broomfield, Colorado. Holy Comforter is our generous host, but our programs are strictly secular, no religious content is taught or discussed, and people of any or no faith background are welcome. Please park in the rear (east) parking lot and enter through the double doors by the playground.
How much does it cost to participate?
The cost is $160/year for 8 sessions in the 2026-2027 School Year: September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19, January 16, February 20, March 20 and April 17. We never want cost to be a barrier to participation, so if the fee presents a challenge for your family, please learn more about our Community Supported Fees here.
Can we bring siblings with us?
Playtime is designed specifically for children ages 2-5 and their parent(s). Due to space limitations and the age appropriateness of the activities, we cannot welcome older siblings at this time. Younger siblings in strollers or carriers are welcome as long as they don’t keep parents from supervising and interacting with their preschooler. Diaper changing facilities are available if needed.
What happens if we can’t attend all 8 sessions?
We understand that life happens and sometimes plans change! If space is available in another Playtime session, we would be happy to have you join us at another session to make up the one you missed, or we will just look forward to seeing you the following month. We are not able to issue refunds or credits for missed sessions. Please contact us at info@broomfieldstem.org for assistance.
Can we sign up for individual Playtime sessions?
If space is available, we will open up individual session spots in mid-September and families can sign up for specific sessions. The per session cost will be the same - $20.00 per session. Space may fill up, so we recommend signing up now for the full program year to ensure you get a spot!
