Here’s how it works:
Your company or organization commits to a donation of at least $10,000 for the 2026-2027 program year (July-June) by contacting our Executive Director, Jamie Rumsey, at jamie@broomfieldstem.org or completing the form on this page.
Your company chooses your month to be the Sponsor of the Month.
We work together to choose dates during your month for a special event just for the employees of your company. These events could include:
A STEM play break at your company for your employees and/or their families. We will bring STEM toys, activities and fun challenges designed to foster community, team work, and fun - you just provide the space and spread the word!
A visit to our workshop for 5 of your employees to see the robots our FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Lego League students are developing, learn about the season’s challenges, and try their hand at driving a robot or solving a Lego League mission.
A robot demonstration and presentation by members of one or two of our High School teams at your company for as many employees as are interested and can fit in your space.
A team visit with one or more of your employees to share your company’s work with our students, inspire them to learn more about your field, and begin to recruit future employees.
For companies that are not on the Front Range of Colorado, an online presentation and demo with one of our teams, or an online meeting for you to share with us what you do.
During your month, Broomfield STEM will feature your company in social media posts, on the front page of our website, and with a poster about your company’s sponsorship in our entryways.
At your event, the employees who worked to establish the sponsorship will be recognized with Broomfield STEM t-shirts and your company will be presented with a sponsor certificate to display.
Two representatives from your company will be invited to attend a FIRST competition and will receive a personal tour of the competition by a Broomfield STEM director.
Your employees will be invited to attend our End of Season Expo in May to meet our students, see demonstrations of all our robots and displays of all their projects. Your company will also receive special recognition during the awards segment of the event.

As part of our mission to make STEM learning accessible for all students, Broomfield STEM charges each student a minimal fee, which is a fraction of the per-student cost of running a team or program. All of our mentors and organizers are volunteers, but we still have to pay registration and tournament fees, house our teams and events, supply our students with the parts and pieces they need to succeed, fund student scholarships, and much more. Sponsorships not only ensure that current teams and programs have the funds they need from year to year, they will also allow us to launch additional teams and expand our programs to have a greater reach, and make a greater impact. 1. Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?
Broomfield STEM is a 501(c)3 Education Non-Profit Entity and our EIN is 92-2727209. Please consult with your tax advisor for specific guidance related to your contribution, but in most cases sponsorships of Broomfield STEM are tax-deductible. All sponsors and donors will receive a written confirmation of donation or sponsorship.
2. How do I become a sponsor?
We value our partnerships with our sponsors, and we are excited to add you to the Broomfield STEM team! Please take a few minutes to complete the form on this page or email us so we can reach out and introduce ourselves to you personally.
We are happy to work with you to complete any paperwork or provide the information you need. We are able to provide an I9 or other certificates upon request, and we already have accounts set up with Benevity, Your Cause, Rayze and Colorado Gives to assist with corporate or employee giving.
If you prefer to keep it simple, you can also mail a check to Broomfield STEM at 1700 W 10th Ave. Broomfield, CO 80020. We will include our 501(c)3 tax ID number on your receipt when we receive your donation.
3. When is the deadline for sponsorship?
We gratefully accept sponsorships year round, so there is no deadline. Our fiscal year is July-June, so we create our budget for the year in the late spring. If you are planning a sponsorship and would be willing to share your plans with us, it would help us a great deal with our budgeting process.
4. Can we designate our sponsorship for a specific purpose?
Yes! Sponsorships are the most helpful if we are able to apply them where our need is greatest. That being said, we are happy to work with you to ensure that your sponsorship aligns with your company’s goals and values, and we are happy to designate them to a specific program if you prefer. Please contact us to discuss this further.
5. What is the duration of a sponsorship?
That’s entirely up to you! We hope that our partnership will be a long and impactful one, but we will gratefully accept one-time donations as well. Sponsorship benefits will apply for the fiscal year in which the sponsorship is paid, and company logos will be featured on our website and marketing materials for 12 months after the sponsorship is received. Sponsorships can be renewed annually, and we welcome installments, lump sums, prearranged in-kind donations, donations of space or reduced rent, and more.
